I want to dye my hair a brown, but if I dont like it I dont want to be caught up in a viscious cycle of dying my hair forever, I dyed the underneath of my hair a light brown colour and it just faded, **I think that my mum tolf the hairdresser not to put permanent on it without me knowing** it faded afer 5 washes anyway I just wondered if I dont like it will my roots keep growing back black, if i dont like it I want to go back to my normal hair colour because I did like the brown colour underneath but I want to be sure before I do anything... so basically my main question is...will I be able to get my natural hair colour back if i dislike it or will i be dying my hair and roots forever???

no u will not...i just spent about 300 bucks on trying to get my dyed hair back to the original color and the professionals could hardly do it. its very difficult to get it back to the original color unless u strip the color from it which its extremely un-good for u! dont dye it darker than ur natural color if u ever want ur normal hair back!

If you dye your hair brown, you will not have to continue coloring your hair forever afterwards. If you dye it brown and decide you do not like it, you go back blonde - you will be bleaching the brown out of your hair.

Its not going to be the most healthy things for you hair, you may cause some damage and dryness - but trust me going from brown to blonde is much more manageable than blonde to brown - thats where you run into the color fading and all the maintenance afterwards!

First of all how could your blonde hair grow black roots and if you decide to colour your hair in a darker colour it will be difficult to remove when you are tired of it, and no you don't have to keep colouring it that is if you don't mine having two tone hair.

Well if it is, then of course your roots will always grow out as your natural hair color. If you dyed your hair blonde from black then it will be hard for your hair to retain any color because the blonde underneath will stripe the brown color you want to apply to it. I've dyed my hair many times with colors from black, blonde, red, brown. Its hard to work with hair that has been dyed blonde or red. Its possible but you have to go to a very experienced hair stylist who not only knows the history of your hair but also is good at blending colors %26amp; has experience with your particular hair type. If you're naturally black then no you won't have to dye your hair forever. Keep dying your hair dark to browns and eventually you can go back to your natural color. The dark browns will continue to wash out as medium to soft browns at first but hang in there. =D
