I have natural blonde hair, but in the summer it gets so fried and damaged from chlorine...?

I have so many split ends and lots of breakage, but if i use any kind of moisture shampoo or conditioner my hair looks greasy. what can i do?

spritz your hair with spray conditioner when getting in/out of the pool. use protein paks on your hair weekly so it doesnt dry out.....even the cheapy stuff like queene helene cholestorol ( it comes in a tub and is sold at beauty supply stores) works well. i used to slather my head in it, then wrap it up in a plastic bag, and then with the lo-setting of your hair dryer heat it up for about 5 minutes so it really penetrates into the hair if your hair is turning green i suggest getting one of those shampoos made specifically for swimmers to get all those greenish deposits out of your hair.

if you want to go for something a little more $$ i suggest using sebastian potion # 9. its a leave in treatment that feels REALLY good in the hair and does not let your hair look greasy AT ALL.

another thing you can try is using the clairol ** semi-permanent** clear color to seal the hair shaft, that way its not more prone to picking up all these deposits from the pool. the clear version wont mess with the color you have already, makes it feel a bit thicker and healthier

Get it trimmed every 6-8 weeks even if its like 3 centimeters. It helps your hair grow a ridiculous amount. When you have split ends and breakage it prevents your hair from growing as much (learned that in bio!)

So keep trimming it off and it will grow back healthier and faster.

Also i suggest before you get in the pool shower first and just rinse your hair with water. itll keep your hair stronger before getting into chlorine.

use pantene.

your hair wont get greesy and you wont have breakage.

also suave makes a product thats especially for people who swim, to prevent breakage, esp. split ends.

do hot oil treatments when you are finished swimming and then wash it out, so it doesnt get greesy.

i had a similar situation and i have extremely naturally oily hair too, trust me, pantene works so well! use the conditioner every other day if you think it makes your hair too greesy otherwise use it everday.

and yes, get frequent cuts as well as take vitamins (esp. a and d)

dont straighten// perm// color// or do anything unnatural to your hair either.

Whenever you go swimming, as soon as you can, rinse your hair out to get rid of whatever chlorine is in it.

I'm not completely positive, a search might answer it for you, but I have heard that putting beer, or eggs in your hair can be healthy for it. Eggs are horrid to wash out, however. (I didn't put them in on purpose, my mom smashed one on my head... she's put potatoes in my hair too... errr)

soak your hair in pantene conditioner and lots of olive oil for an hour

what you need to do is once a month wash your hair with salt which will get rid of split ends, breakage, and dryness on the scapt.this technique is really great for people who use a streighning iron a lot. for the chlorine thing just use a good blonde hair only shampoo to protect the hair.

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
