Bleaching parts of my hair blonde, but before that I want to dye my hair an allover color... is that

I have medium/dark brown hair.

Before I want to put blonde highlights in, I wanted to dye my hair a darker shade of brown/close to black. Is that okay to do that right before I bleach parts of my hair? I'm going to a professional :)

ok i am a stylist and yes ucan do that all though if u want blonde hilites u can raise your original color up to blonde then appy a tint to get the desired look what im saying is the less u have to mess with the peroxide the better 4 your haie and hilites usually give u 304 different colors when there all done anyhow have fun i hope it look TERRIFIC

Just talk to someone at the salon. People here may give you answers you won't like or would regret if you follow their advice.

You can totally do it. They'll foil off your hair where you want it bleached, and then they'll rinse out the dark color before the bleached. Good luck!

if you go to a professional, they will do all the work for you. i think it might mess with the bleaching dye if you due your hair right before going to the salon, so you may just want to let the hairdresser do all of it, otherwise your hair could come out orange!
