if not, good chances are it will turnout brassy orange.

i have gone plenty of times from dark brown to blonde and back... you will be fine, it is just hard on your hair but let the professionals deal with it.

Yes. Have it done professionally. Get the roots done professionally each time to. It will probably be about $100 the first time and then the roots every 2 months will be about $60 or so. I was blonde for 2 years and did the roots myself and I ruined my hair. I have to have 8" of damage cut off when I went back to my normal color. Spend the money for AWESOME looking blonde hair. If you do it cheap (yourself) you will look like a cheap blonde. I have found that fantastic sams does a great job without costing a lot. Also I found that Sunsilk Hydra TLC (leave in conditioner) called 24/7 creme did make my blonde look good and stay hydrated. $4 pink bottle any store really. Good luck and remember if you don't like the blonde, you can always go back.

like everyone else has said, definitely get it done professionally at first.

mine's gone from medium brown to platinum, and with regular conditioning, it's barely damaged.

you may just want to get it trimmed a tiny bit afterwards, since the ends are usually first to get damaged.

I have dark brown hair..i went blonde one time..not so great. I went to salon too. I would just suggest make sure you go to a good one. Because as we all know it grows back but still you don't want to have to go thru that...so needless to say I fried my hair and have my natural hair color to my shoulders again...I think Im going to highlight it =)

seeing that you have medium blonde hair, take this process slowly.. first dye your head a lighter brown. a box from the store is okay. then you want to go to a salon and get carmel highlights.. a few weeks after that, get some blonde highlights. it takes a lot of work to keep them up though, i have medium brown hair, too, and it gets really expensive touching up on the roots.. so what i did, i died my hair a close match to my hair color (because it was blonde at the time), then i went to the salon and got "peek a boo highlights." peek a boo highlights are very cute.

if you do not know what peek a boo highlights are, they are highlights underneath the crown part of your hair. %26amp; sometimes they stick out, sometimes their hidden, but it is a good way to save money because you don't have to keep going back to get your roots done.

i got platnium blonde highlights %26amp; carmel, the carmel makes it look really pretty. :)

as not only can at home hair dyes damage your hair but there is a much greater chance of it going wrong and your hair ending up a funny colour
