I have chunky blonde foils through my naturally med-light brown hair. How do I keep the blonde BLOND

I get my hair professionally foiled so I know the job is being done properly. It looks excellent for the first week or two but it gradually looks brassy or even looks brown where it should be really blonde.

What specific products can I buy to keep my hair blonde?

- I currently use Edward Beale hilite bright shampoo for blondes (it is purple) but feel it doesn't work. I have also used Andrew Collinge highlight enhancing shampoo for platinum to champagne blondes but didn't think it worked either.

I also want to go a lot more blonder in the future, but feel I need to find the right products before I do this as it would be a disaster if it all goes brassy!!

PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you....

John Freeder has some great products for this, i get them from the UK so not sure if you can get them there.

I also started with brown hair and gradually went blonde like you.

Unfortunatly its just a case of finding good products (ask your hairdresser) and try not to wash it more than once a day.

I had more blonde put in my hair about 2 years ago along with lighter browns but i have recently just gone to having a full head of highlighted blonde put through, my hair dresser said that was the reason it was looking brassy after 3 weeks or so. She also does this shine mask thing in between colours to make it more fresh till the next colour.

I have blonde hair and keep it that way with a toner. it removes all the brassy and orange tones in your hair

i use shwarzkopf nordic blonde toner..yea its good cept it dries out your hair if its slightly damaged

Go to sally beauty supply and get something called 'silver lights' it is a purple shampoo which is an opposing color to orange/gold tones, it tones out the brassiness. Use it as needed or about twice a week.

since all your hair is not naturally blonde you should not use a shampoo that specializes in blonde hair... this may be what is turning your hair brassy. have you tried just the basics... sheer blonde is safer to use or a shampoo that helps color-treated hair?? don't waste your money on expensive shampoos when you can get something much cheaper that will do a better job... or maybe just go blonder and see how that works out for you. you could just be using the wrong shade blonde which in turns makes your hair brassy... talk to your stylist. talk to many. get several opinions from several different stylists. then come up with your own conclusion from there.
