My friend has dark blonde hair and wants......?

....to dye it dark brown because shes bored of her hair. I think she should go for it because she's never dyed her hair before, and i think it would suit her, but shes worried it'll go wrong and that it'll go red or sumthing...

How can i reasure her that it will be fine ?and should she go to the hairdressers to get it done or buy a hair dye?

You need to go to a professional. The box colors out there show the hair color on models that have different hair texture and beginning color. Hairdressers can mix a variety of different colors together that would be based on your friends hair. And if something went wrong with the box color, it would cost her three times the amount for corrective color at a salon. Remember, this is why hairdressers went to beauty school. :-)

Just buy the dye. Its easier to go darker then to go lighter. You can do this yourself. Just know that if she wants to go lighter it can be a problem.

Go to the beauty supply and ask the workers to tell you what to get.

I wouldnt do it if she has dark blonde hair. I tried dying my blond hair dark brown, but it turned red. But who knows. She might not have as many red pigments in her hair as I. It could either be good or bad

I've been dying my own hair since seventh grade.

It's really not that difficult, especially if you have a friend to help you out.

Last month I went from blone to dark brown, and I've been getting SOOOO many compliments on it! It really brings out my eyes.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't pay someone $100 to dye my hair when I can do it at home for $10.
