I am a dishwater blonde, and I used Clairol's Frost %26amp; Tip to give myself light blonde highlights a few weeks ago. I like the color a lot, and would like to dye all my hair the same color. If I do so without waiting for the highlights to grow out, will it make any difference? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Would dying my hair blonde make my blonde highlights turn white?
well, bleach is to make your hair turn blonde..and if your hair is blonde already, what do you think will happen? lol obviously it would turn white or just a really light color that looks similar to white.

Yes your highlights will be white. But It looks better when you have different colors in it like to give it depth. I have short dyed blonde hair and sometimes do the platinum thing or just the highlight thing. But when I do the all over light/platinum it looks way better when I have started with some highlights first because a flat all over blonde is pretty drab looking and will go through some bad stages when it grows out. I think you'll be better off and happier if you dye it when you have the highlights still in. But as always... consult a professional. Dying and redying at home can create all kinds of problems, and be very bad for your hair. Oh, and use a toner after to help save the life and color of your hair. Hope this helps.

It depends what you plan to use to color your hair. If you use haircolor, then no, they won't turn white. Color would lift, then deposit. If you're planning on using the frosting kit you first used, then your highlights will still be lighter than the rest of your hair, but probably not white. If your natural hair is already a dishwater blonde, the product probably won't be on your hair long enough to turn your highlights white. Like others have said, having a little variation in your hair always looks better than a solid color.
